New Tailor is the address for bespoke suits in the Netherlands since 1997. A bespoke suit and shirt is still a luxurious item for most men in the Netherlands. We like to see it as a favorable necessity. Of course we advice you personally so we work only by appointment. First the man than the suit. We only make bespoke and made to measure suits. We are inspired by fashion but never guided. You and New Tailor decide on every detail of your suit, including interlining, lapels, notch, waistband details, pockets, etc. We pay attention to every detail. Everything seems to be possible as long as you can call it bespoke and if we agree with your demands of course.

There is nothing like dressing a bespoke

One does not "buy" a bespoke suit; one "has it fitted". This is important, because the result depends on a proper fit - the combination of accurate measurement and craftsmanship of the tailor. A well-fitted suit is clearly recognisable: a perfect fit to the neck and shoulders, the backbone and hip - a good overall balance. Through our extensive experience since 1997, the fitting thousands of suits we guarantee the perfect fit.

Tailored service to suit you

The first (introductory) appointment lasts for roughly an hour and a half. The process of bespoke begins with a tailored consultation. Together with the cutter, we discuss the balance between comfort and aesthetics. In all our years of experience we have never come across a single customer with "average" sizes, who stood completely straight or was totally symmetrical We keep you informed of progress throughout the production process, and after six weeks we call you for your first fitting appointment. After making the final adjustments in our atelier in Utrecht, the second fitting follows a week later. Naturally, we keep in touch to discuss any required alterations afterwards, for example in the case of weight loss. The choice of fabric and tailoring style determine the price of your suit or shirt. New Tailor offers tailor-made suits ranging in price from € 599 to € 3000 and made-to-measure shirts starts at € 100.

You deserve the B.E.S.T. Suit

The search for the ultimate English tailor-made suit brought us all over the world. We combine the interlining of the Italian tailors to make a full canvas suit. Therefore the suit adjust to your body and movements all the time. This method is called soft tailoring. If you prefer a suit more as a uniform we also supply you with a half canvas. The trousers are less baggy then most English Tailors would cut them. They look slim but provides you all the comfort you need. The suit is 'cut to the bone', in the tradition of Savile Row: higher arm insets, slightly padded and a nicely curved waistline. Your suit will look better and slimmer than most Italian suits. Of course all suits can be made with a baste or forward fitting. Most of the times two fittings will do the job. The classical style and elegance given by a bespoke suit is timeless and will last a decade.

If you can't find your cloth here, you can't find it anywhere

You have your own particular style. That is why we offer you the choice of 10.000 fabrics of Dormeuil, Dugdale, Fisher, Harissons, Holland & Sherry, Drapers, Zegna and Wainshiel among others. We are at your disposal for advice: the suit will be made to fit with your current wardrobe, the frequency with which you intend to wear it, the season, and of course the (work) environment you will be wearing it in. The choice of tailoring style and fabric determine the suit's price. We offer fabrics ranging from 190 to 570 grams per yard, and yarns ranging from Super 80 to Super 200. Weight and weave of the fabric determine its shine, its tendency to wrinkle and its durability. Our offer includes wool, linen, silk and cotton. All new tailor suits are made from natural fabrics, have padded lapels, real buttonholes and horn buttons. We make: Business suits, Casual suits, Sports Jackets, Overcoats, Morning coats, Dinner jackets, Smoking, Plus Fours, Trousers, Waistcoats, Shirts and Blazers.

A good shirt makes you look bright

At New Tailor, we believe that a shirt's shoulder width should be determined by the wearer's shoulder measurement - not be dictated by one's collar size. Every gentleman deserves a properly made shirt. Select the collar and cuff style you prefer; breast pockets, buttons and monograms are optional. We have a broad range of fabrics to choose from; our favorite supplier Thomas Mason has a wide selection of the finest cloth made in Italy - from easy care to Sea Island cotton. We add mother of pearl buttons, fine stitching and great interlining. A shirt takes four weeks to be made.

An extensive range of ready-to-fit shirts, Italian, & English hand-made ties; including a range of extra long seven-fold ties for our most discerning clients. New Tailor is also renowned for the large selection of cufflinks, bow ties, belts and suspensors.
